My 17 month old got this book for his 1st birthday and he loves it! He constantly asks us to read it to him all the time. He enjoys all the sounds and helping us press the buttons when we're reading the story. I know it says on the cover not for children under 3, however this book seems pretty sturdy, it is in an area where my son can get the book to "read" to himself and we've had no problems with it coming apart of things like that. I would recommend this book for any children who are interested in it!
