A: Really like it for both quality of content and how it's made
This book offers information on the history of flying as well as a concise description of a plane trip from takeoff to landing (it does not describe airports or boarding procedures). I bought this book because it added sounds to the reading experience. I wanted my child to learn before our trip that planes can be noisy. There is a plastic console below the text that contains six buttons in and around a steering wheel which actually turns right and left producing a seventh sound. Icons are placed throughout the text to indicate when to press which button to better illustrate the subject at hand. I think the book is well thought-out. The pop-out steering wheel is a really nice touch. The quality is good -- it's been in the hands of my toddler for several weeks now and it's holding up very well. Unfortunately my child is too young to appreciate it fully. The buttons are so fascinating to press over and over (and over...) that I don't get a chance to explain anything about airplanes at all! But that time will come. I'm sure this would be a good book for kids aged kindergarten and up.
Recommended for ages 18 months and older.
