This talking children's dictionary has large type and an illustration for each word.

Words are defined and used in sentences, and translated into Spanish. To use the talking dictionary, the child enters letters on the keypad and pushes enter. If that word is in the dictionary memory, it is spelled and voiced. After the word is voiced, the child is prompted to press one of the sound triggers.

When the "definition" trigger is pressed, the word is defined in about 10 words, with appropriate sound effects, if any. The "Spanish" trigger gives the Spanish equivalent of the word in the context.

A: I purchased this book because it advertised that you could use it for both English and Spanish. The Spanish is very limited. You are required to type the word in English and hitting the Spanish button gives you the Spanish equivalent. If you type the word in Spanish, you are told that you are wrong and must try again. Also, the definition button only provides English definitions.

B: My son loved this book, he loves Thomas the Tank Engine and all things trains........This was a hit and helped him learn some extra words, and a few Spanish words too! 5 STARS!
