From the Publisher:
The words to the national anthem are presented in book form accompanied by a sound chip that plays the melody when the book is opened.
Oh, say, can you see,
by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed
at the twilight's last gleaming?
Here are the words to the national anthem paired with colorful illustrations depicting the defense of Fort McHenry against the British during the War of 1812.
It was from his vantage point at sea that Francis Scott Key witnessed and memorialized the event in song.
'The Star-Spangled Banner' was designated the national anthem by Congress in 1931.

A: The Star Spangled Banner
I own an original from 1942 1st printing. I am glad to see it still around. It restores the values of our country.
The images are great you can study each one and see how we all rallied around our country and what made it great. It gives you a glimpse of the past and when we were very patriot oriented when we were in the II World War. It is great for kids to see what our country was like then. Also how many of us can sing the 2nd verse of the Star Spangled banner let alone the 4th. It is all here. Own a great American book. Show your kids and grand kids a piece of history. you won't be disappointed.
